Inscription Work Is Split Into Two Phases
Production
When a monument is in production, every detail, from the font and size to the specific style of carving, is carefully chosen and permanently etched into the stone. This initial phase includes all foundational inscriptions like names and birth dates, creating a complete and beautiful memorial.
Post-Production
After placement, our post-production inscription services focus solely on adding death dates. Hand-carving is not performed in-house or on site after production, but sent to Vermont. This specialized work, known as “inscription services” or “final dating,” respectfully completes the monument.
